Integrated Marketing & Communications Manager

Position Overview: Economic Mobility Center (EMC) is seeking a highly organized, hands-on Marketing Programs & Communications Manager to lead integrated marketing execution across EMC and Dallas County Promise (DCP), a program powered by EMC. This role blends campaign execution, content development, public relations, and graphic design capability. The ideal candidate is a versatile marketing professional who can manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, develop compelling communications across channels, and collaborate closely with program, operations, and leadership teams to advance EMC’s visibility and impact.


Key Responsibilities
Content & Communications
  • Develop clear, audience-specific messaging across students, families, partners, and stakeholders
  • Draft and deploy email and text communications aligned to key milestones
  • Conduct student and parent focus groups to inform marketing strategy and messaging
  • Develop student success stories and impact narratives
  • Manage and update blog content and digital storytelling initiatives
  • Ensure consistent brand voice across all communications

Public Relations & External Communications
  • Support development and distribution of press releases and media announcements
  • Identify and coordinate earned media opportunities
  • Coordinate podcast planning, guest outreach, production scheduling, and distribution in collaboration with internal and external partners
  • Develop leadership talking points and messaging support materials
  • Support communications for public events, convenings, and announcements

Marketing Materials & Graphic Design
  • Develop external marketing materials to support campaigns and partner engagement, including one-pagers, push cards, posters, banners, and presentations, ensuring consistency in messaging, branding, and visual quality across all assets.
  • Maintain and update internal marketing templates and shared resources
  • Create and edit digital and print graphics using design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ensure visual consistency across materials in collaboration with multimedia resources

Partner & Community Marketing
  • Provide marketing materials and communication support to community and partners
  • Support communication of enrollment events and info sessions
  • Participate in community and institutional events as marketing support
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with program and operations teams to ensure accurate messaging

Qualifications & Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or related fields
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Experience executing multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Experience supporting public relations or media efforts
  • Working knowledge of graphic design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong project management and organizational skills

Preferred
  • Experience in education, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations
  • Experience conducting audience research or focus groups
  • Familiarity with marketing automation or CRM platforms
