Position Overview: The Senior Manager of Workforce plays a critical operational and coordination role in advancing EMC’s workforce initiatives across North Texas. Working closely with the Senior Director of Workforce, this role ensures strong partner communication, organized execution, and consistent follow-through across employer, education, and community stakeholders.
The ideal candidate excels in building relationships, organizing complex workflows, and translating partner input into clear summaries, materials, and actionable next steps. This position focuses on supporting day-to-day execution, documenting and synthesizing insights, and helping maintain high-quality partnerships that advance talent pathways and employer engagement efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Employer & Industry Partner Engagement
- Support the Senior Director in building and maintaining partnerships with employers and industry partners across multiple sectors.
- Assist with outreach to HR teams and hiring managers to gather input and validate workforce needs.
- Coordinate employer meetings, prepare agendas, capture notes, track follow-up actions, and manage engagement logistics.
- Ensure timely follow-through with partners to maintain momentum and sustain engagement.
Workforce Pathway Alignment
- Support in gathering employer feedback on high-need, high-value career pathways.
- Document and summarize employer insights to inform pathway development.
- Collaborate with K–12, higher education, and nonprofit partners to share pathway information and ensure consistent advising materials.
- Assist in developing pathway handouts, slide decks, and “earn and learn” resources for students and advisors.
- Track pathway-related partner updates and maintain organized records of identified opportunities.
Talent Pipeline Coordination
- Help facilitate operational connections between schools, training providers, and employers.
- Participate in employer convenings, industry association meetings, and partner events.
- Track opportunities for work-based learning, internships, and entry-level positions.
- Prepare partner briefs and meeting summaries to ensure continuity across engagements.
Workforce Reporting & Communications
- Support in gathering data inputs, organizing information, and preparing workforce reports and summaries.
- Develop presentation materials, talking points, and partner-facing communications.
- Assist in translating findings into clear, accessible materials and recommendations to employers, educators, and community partners.
- Maintain engagement data, satisfaction metrics, partner/CRM records, and reporting dashboards in coordination with internal teams.
- Ensure organized documentation of insights, partner updates, and recurring themes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent experience in workforce development, employer engagement, recruiting, career services, or program management.
- 3–5 years of experience in workforce development, recruiting, human resources, career services, or a related field.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Strong documentation, follow-through, and organizational skills.
- Experience gathering, organizing, and summarizing data inputs into clear, structured formats.
- Comfortable presenting information to partners and participating in cross-functional meetings.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and partner relationships simultaneously.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams and with diverse stakeholders.
